I have been a teacher for 20 years. Together with my students, we are doing awareness activities on combating climate change. We have received national awards in this regard.  We gave Turkey's first mother training on climate change awareness and Sustainable living education. We make projects with our parents and students. We integrate the issue of climate change into the curriculum and teach our lessons.

Projects 2022

ECOGIRLS

The last 7 years have been recorded as the driest years in human history. Are we aware of the danger? We started to raise awareness about climate change with the slogan. We watched videos, together we created awareness by collecting thrown to the ground.

In our project, awareness activities are carried out with the ECO GIRLS team consisting of girls. Together with my students, we will provide climate change awareness and Sustainable life trainings for mothers. Thus, we aim to make mothers active in the fight against climate change.We aim to raise awareness in the society

 

Ecogırls

We researched the effects of climate change with students. They told each other through peer education. There are many effects such as drought, loss of agricultural lands, increase in average temperatures and storms that increase their intensity. We planted trees in the garden of our school. We gave seeds to parents.We started to collect the seeds of fruits and vegetables at home.

ECOGIRLS

Irregular urbanization, damage to forests, erosion, destruction of natural vegetation, polluting land and sea vehicles, chemicals that harm the environment, pesticides are among the most important causes of increasing environmental pollution. It provides an environment for environmental pollution.  We work with our students to raise awareness.  Our students prepared a joint study by reaching their peers in different schools.

ECOGIRLS

We researched the potential solutions for climate change and environmental problems. We produced solutions. We explained the presentations we prepared with peer education in different classes. We made virtual cooperation with a school from Ukraine and Turkey. We shared our solution suggestions. It was a great experience.

ECOGIRLS

In the 5th week, we collaborated with teachers and students in different countries and cities. We interacted live online. We shared solutions.We made online connections with schools in different countries and cities. Students shared their findings and solutions. We explained our work to students in Samsun from Turkey. We met with a school from Pakistan. At the same time, our students made presentations to prospective science teachers at the university.

ECOGIRLS

6 weeks of our work on climate action: we were invited to the university as a good example for our work on combating climate change. My students told about their work to teacher candidates at the university. At the same time, with the invitation of UNSDNS Turkey coordinator, we came together with the teachers over zoom and explained our work.We interacted with schools in different countries. We shared our work.
