Weather conditions are: weather phenomena, air temperature, precipitation, wind, thunder and the impact of weather conditions on people's lives and work. They depend on atmosphere conditions and they are weather determinants through the daytime.
Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of time patterns and that change lasts for a longer period of time. It causes extreme events such as large fires, floods, soil erosion, storms and tropical heat waves. One example of this phenomenon is when it happens that it does not rain for a month, and then the rain does not stop for the next month.
Climate change is affected by people and events on Earth: air density, temperature, biotic processes and variations in the solar radiation received by the Earth.
Our position on climate change is: it is undesirable, and we can certainly do something! It is important to find out how climate change is affecting the world around us. In this way, we can all mitigate our negative impact on the climate. People should not throw garbage on the street, moreover, they need to sort garbage. By mitigating the effects of climate change, the ice in Antarctica would not melt so quickly!
We found out that one of the effects of climate changes is the ice melting on Antarctica, so animals habitats are ruined. Due to the gases released into the Earth's atmosphere, the Earth's mantle is damaged and therefore the glaciers slowly melt so the sea and ocean levels increase. Penguins, polar bears and other animals are losing their homes!
Also, unexpected wheater conditions (too high or too low temperature) are happening.
We did some research about global warming: it is the name for the increasing the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere and oceans. Heating of the climate system is unequivocal and primarily caused by increasing concentracion of greenhouse gases.
Some local effects of climate changes are:
Some global effects of climate changes are:
sea level rise due to rising temperatures and melting glaciers, leading to the extinction of animal species living in these habitats
the disappearance of the land affects the weakening of many states and leads to the destruction of the living world on earth
In Serbia, there has been a significant increase in air temperature recently, which affects the occurrence of drought. Also, due to the uneven distribution of precipitation, floods occur. Climate change and impacts are seen in hydrology, forestry and agriculture.
The greenhouse effect is the way in which the sun's energy is retained in the earth's atmosphere. Because of this, the earth remains warm and life on it is possible. The growth of industry and agriculture leads to the emission of a larger amount of energy that remains in the "greenhouse" and thus leads to global warming, which results in the melting of mountain glaciers and the Greenland Green Belt.
In our school there is an activity called ECO patrol (environmental patrol, section dedicated to ecology).
One of our activities recently was clearing our forest. We joined forces and collected a lot of garbage. We know this is one of the ways we protect our planet.
