Projects 2020

Week 1: Kocho Racin - Ohrid, Climate Action Project

Considering that the school year in our country started on October 5, the beginning of the realization of the project in our country was delayed by one week. However, this week we held an online meeting with students to discuss the difference between climate and climate change. The students suggested the causes of climate change. They drew drawings on the Causes of Climate Change.

Week 2: Kocho Racin - Ohrid, Climate Action Project

In the second week of the project, we discussed with students the effects of climate change occurring locally and globally. They recorded the effects of climate change in mentimeters. It was concluded that each plant planted is a small but important step towards overcoming the problems of these effects.

Week 3: Kocho Racin - Ohrid, Climate Action Project

In the third week of the project, the students wrote a letter to the tree, planting seedlings in their backyards, which made a small contribution to improving climate change.

Week 4: Kocho Racin - Ohrid, Climate Action Project

In the fourth week of the project, after the students detected the main causes of climate change, we talked about solutions to them. Students then came up with solutions to overcome climate change. You can see their solutions in the video that was submitted.

Week 5 11638

In the fifth week of the project we had an online meeting with students from Salvador Brazil. At the meeting, the students from our school made a presentation of our city Ohrid and Lake Ohrid, which is on the list of cities under UNESCO. Students from  Salvador then discussed the main causes of pollution in their city of  Salvador and the possibilities to address them. Eventually the students were divided into groups and communicated with each other and discussed solutions to climate change.

Week 6: Kocho Racin - Ohrid, Climate Action Project

The last week of the project was filled with writing and sending letters to the mayor of Ohrid, the Ministry of Environment and the President of our country. The students also attended the online event Climate Change Day on 5 November.
