STUDENTS OF DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL,SECTOR 49,GURUGRAM ,INDIA FOUND OUT THE CAUSES OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND MADE POSTERS RELATED TO IT. THEY ALSO EXPLAINED THE CAUSES BY RECORDING VIDEOS.
Climate has an immense effect on the flora, fauna, weather patterns, human activity and lifestyle. An average increase in the Earth's temperature during the last century has led to the melting of ice caps and glaciers, causing floods, widespread destruction and loss of life on earth. It is high time we understood the importance of our environment and corrected our actions to save nature as well as our existence on earth.
EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE
There is a drastic change in the weather patterns caused by global warming, melting of snow.flooding of rivers and lakes, coastal erosion, sea-level rise and extreme natural phenomenon. The Arctic is expected to become ice-free before mid-century. The warming seas and oceans will evaporate more water into the atmosphere and create bigger storm fronts, which will have bigger downpours than we are used to. Let us take some steps to save 'Our Earth' from the devastation of climate change.
It's time to rethink! We need to find viable solutions to combat climate change. It would be great if we could rejuvenate the lost forest cover on our planet, find alternate refrigeration and cooling materials, protect native lands, educate more people, switch to sustainable and above all - love nature. We need to get connected to nature. We cannot take action to save the environment if we do not know and care about what it is that we are protecting. Let us spread the word all around and bring in the much-needed change.
Students made plans about implementing the solution to climate change. They also interacted with their mentor and gained insight about their project. The excitement and urge to participate in the online interactions is clearly an indication that young minds are bubbling with enthusiasm to bring about a change. We are moving closer to our goal of saving saving mother Earth.
Students are taking action and causing a shift to occur in classrooms across the world. Students have planted trees, developed solar driven equipment, recycled and reinvented materials, spread message in the community by making posters, fliers and pasting messages at prominent spots in and around their residence. A great effort indeed which will create a sense of responsibility among people to take little steps towards improvement and make our Earth a wonderful place to live !
