In week 1, EXCELSIS primary school students understood what climate change meant and found its sources. All this was done in science, math and arts lessons. Digital tools were used to make the lessons as interactive as possible. Problematizing and debates were other methodes used to raise awareness od climate changes.
In second week Excelsis students discoverit the effects of climate changes. They understood how important human actions are, they can favor or disfavor enviroment. So the students decided to act to make the world better place by planting trees. Also during this week, students found out what kind of climate problems are in other country, from other continent.
Students from Excelsis, during for six weeks, found out the causes of climate change and the negative effects of this on the all world. They understood that for the benefit of the quality of life it is important to save electricity, to consume as little meat and as many vegetables as possible; to plant as many trees as possible; collect waste separately so that it can be recycled; to use as little plastic as possible. Students also understood that overuse of natural resources is also harmful to the environment, which in turn affects human health. To demonstrate their care and love for nature, students created posters, planted trees, collected trash in separate bins, talked to their parents and friends about how important it is to take care of the environment and they dramatized through a poem and highlighted all these problems .
Thanks to the international Climate Change project, students had the opportunity to become aware of the serious consequences of global climate change. They have made a commitment to protect nature, because only by having a healthy environment will we be healthy.
