I'm Abeer Qunaibi a wife, mother and teacher of math in Palestine. My educational background includes a MSc in Applied MAthematics. I have been chosen the best teacher in Palestine 2016, One of Top50 finalists 2017 global teacher prize, and Varkey teacher Ambassador .I try to build up my students to become global citizens and to lead the change of their life and community.

climate action week1

In groups, the students researched climate change and its meaning. Then the students presented their results in class and shared the knowledge

This week was exciting, as the students discussed with their peers and families the causes of climate change in Palestine and its negative effects on life.

In the third week, the students watched a group of videos of countries such as Australia, Yemen and Egypt and the impact of climate change on them. Then the students in groups studied the global causes of mimic change and began to think about how they could change as young people.

Brainstorming for the most prominent solutions and awareness lectures

The students discussed a set of possible solutions to the phenomenon of climate change with the help of interested families and community institutions, and a lecture was presented on the importance of municipal seeds to confront climate change

Students study the feasibility of electric cars, and others design a mobile application to spread awareness about climate change.

Engineering and environmental sciences

Students volunteered to work in the municipal seed bank, which would challenge climate change, and there was practical training at all stages and in private laboratories.The students communicated with Palestine Polytechnic University to hold an important lecture on engineering and environmental sciences, on issues of sustainability, water security, food security, smart cities, and others.
