Projects 2022

Week 1. Climate and weather. Causes of climate changes.

I worked with students of grade 8. We defined the difference of terms weather an climate, students were devided into two groups and carried out the research on two topics 1. What is climate change - what would be your definition? What is causing climate change locally? 

We've had a terrible Chernobyl disaster it coused great damage not only our country. There is also a war in Ukraine it's also very harmful for all the enviranment.

The effects of climate change on plants, animals and humans. Plant a tree project #plantED.

It's really important to observe the climate change effects on plants and animals. The students have been devided into groups and prepared questions to interview relatives from a different generation and find out the information on this topic. Our school  has also been engaded in Plant tree project. As we are studying online because of the war, they've worked with their parents and shared the pictures of planting trees.

What are causes and effects globally?

Grade 6 and 8 students were involved in to online projects, quizzes, quests on environmental issues. They also made conclusions what causes and effects are .

What are potential solutions for climate change and/or specific environmental issues?

The students and teacher of our secondary school were experienced the prosses of discussing the ways  how to reduce the negative impact of human activity on the environment. We played games, did surveys for finding potential solutions for climate change. We  also joined Save-the-date for Climate Action Day on November 3, 2022, online event listened top climate experts, global leaders, and watched innovative classrooms.
