Week 1 Causes of Climate Change

Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama has taken up an International Climate Action Project, wherein the students of class 5 were made aware of the serious issue of climate change and the consequences. Students participated with full enthusiasm and vigour.
Students made informative posters on the topic – Causes of Climate Change.
The children also recorded their opinion about the causes of Climate Change.

WEEK 2 - EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE.

The students of Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama enthusiatically engaged themselves into the week 2 activities. The students delved in into the effects of Climate Change by brainstorming on the causes. They involved themselves in broadening their understanding about the adverse effects of Climate Change and how they they can reduce the effects of it on the environment. The students created posters and videos to awaken people around them and inculcate a sense of responsibility towards the planet EARTH.

WEEK 3. GLOBAL CAUSES AND EFFECTS.

Students of Navrachana Higher Secondary School Sama engaged themselves into the Week-3 activities of Climate Action Project, with great excitement. Exploring into the GLOBAL CAUSES AND EFFECTS of Climate Change was a brainwave for them.

WEEK 4 - SOLUTIONS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

As a part of the Week 4 activity of the Climate Action Project, students of Navrachana Higher Secondary School put on their thinking caps to find solutions to prevent climate change.
Students wrote slogans and gave suggestions on potential solutions to prevent Climate Change.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION AND GROUP DISCUSSION

Week 5 of the International Climate Action Project was all about collaboration and discussions wherein the Core Team - Ms Kiran Tiwari, Ms Shalini More, Ms Samyukta Asthana and Ms Himika Jani participated enthusiastically.

Navrachana Higher Secondary School took the lead and invited over 17 teams from all over the world including Ghana, Serbia, Veitnam, Nigeria, Malaysia to name a few....connected with them on a global platform and shared each other's findings with the help of lively and informative presentations. The energy of the participants was palpable and the findings were truly an eye-opener.

WEEK 6 . CALLS FOR ACTION

As a part of the International CAP , the students of Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama went the extra mile ensuring civic participation to bring about a change in the immediate environment of their city. A contingent of students and educators met The Honorable Municipal Commissioner, Ms. Shalini Agarwal to submit a petition regarding action for solid waste management in the city. This bunch of enthusiastic students leaders of Navrachana made a presentation before the commissioner about the steps they are taking for Climate Action. In addition they had suggestions of their contributions towards developing awareness about solid waste management. The students have proposed to create posters, jingles and ppts to raise awareness amongst stakeholders.
The Honorable Municipal Commissioner Ms. Shalini Agarwal was impressed by the school's endeavours and the high sense of responsibility of the students. She agreed to the proposal happily and gave further directions to the students.
