Projects 2021

week 1 - causes of climate change

The students watched the video about climate and weather. They researched the causes of climate change and collated them together on the jam board.  some of the students prepared awareness posters about climate change.

week 2 - effects of climate change

Students read different news articles to understand the impacts of climate change.  They connected their information using solo hexagons and identified the possible solutions.

WEEK 3 - CAUSE AND EFFECT AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

STUDENT'S CONNECTED THEIR CAUSE AND EFFECT WITH POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS  WITH DIFFERENT SCHOOLS TO SHARE THE CAUSE AND EFFECT AND THINK AROUND THE SOLUTIONS. IT HAD AROUND 

CLIMATE ACTION SOLUTION- PERSONAL ACTIONS

DURING THIS WEEK STUDENTS IDENTIFIED DIFFERENT PERSONAL AND COLLECTIVE SOLUTIONS. THEY WORKED ON THE APP NAMED - A WORLD IN SUPPORT OF ACT NOW. THEY ALSO USED CLIMATE ACTION SUPERHEROES INFORMATION GIVEN BY THE UN. STUDENTS CHOSE THE APP TO MAKE THEIR PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE. 

VIRTUAL EXCHANGE

AS PART OF THE CLIMATE ACTION PROJECT TIPS (THE INDIAN PUBLIC SCHOOL, ERODE, HAD VIRTUAL EXCHANGE WITH THREE OTHER SCHOOLS - AGA KHAN ACADEMY- HYDERABAD, INDIA, PODAR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL , MUMBAI, INDIA, AND  SHISHUAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL , MUMBAI, INDIA. LEARNERS SHARED THE CAUSE AND EFFECTS OF CLIMATE AND CHANGE. WITHIN BREAKOUT ROOMS THEY IDENTIFIED AND SHARED THE POSSIBLE ACTIONS TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE.
