Here is a glimpse of some activities taken up by students of grade 8 in the last two weeks.

1. Climate Control Conference – Impact, causes and possible solutions. A group discussion was organized by the Science teachers to increase the understanding of the cause of Climate change, its impact in the future and the consequences of the negligence. Students enthusiastically participated in the discussion and benefited from each other’s opinions and findings.

2. Collaborative Presentation on-Climate change and Animals. Climate change is accelerating extinction. World biodiversity has declined alarmingly in half a century. More than 25,000 species, almost a third of those know are in danger of disappearing. Students did a research work to find out more about the endangered animals and compiled their work in a real time collaborative project taken up during their Science class.

3. SWAY Presentation on the topics:  Climate change and Biodiversity loss and Greenhouse effect and Global warming. Students not only enhanced their knowledge on the important topics but also explored new ways of sharing information with each other. Surely this program has enabled experiential learning by adopting approaches like collaborative learning, creativity, empathy towards Nature, learning by doing, playful learning, learning from educators and peers.
