I teach grade 3/4 in southern Ontario. This is my third year participating and love it each year. I was certified as a National Geographic Educator last year and am constantly looking to connect my students to global causes. We are looking forward to participating in the Climate Change project.

What is Climate Change and what causes it locally?

The Grade 3/4 students at St Faustina in Ontario, Canada looked at the difference between climate and weather, created their own definition and discussed what's causing it.

We walked around our school yard and looked at habitats that tie in in with our science unit and talked about what is in the habitat and how it could be affected with an increase in temperature and carbon emissions.
