I am an Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (USA) specializing in global education at the elementary level. I have developed and field-tested units of study on global citizenship, peace education, and environmental sustainability for the Peace Corps World Wise Schools, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, and the Institute for Humane Education. I was a 2017-2018 Global Teacher Education Fellow and Global Scholar to Finland and Sweden. I also serve as a consultant and guest blogger for the Institute for Humane Education and serve on the board of the Sister City Commission of Wilmington, NC. My current research focuses on conceptualizing, measuring, and fostering teachers' global competencies. I would like to join this project in conjunction with my instructional design course with graduate-level preservice teachers.
